Kraft card

Good Afternoon Lovelies! Well it's dry-ish today, but cold, I'm getting a bit cheesed off with the rain! So I have been doing rather a lot of crafting as I have time on my hands currently! This morning I saw a gorgeous card on Pinterest using Kraft card and just needed to have a go! I haven't used the same stuff but like all crafters I found alternatives!

I stamped and heat embossed with white Stampendous EP using Sheena Douglass gorgeous flower stamps, I coloured them in using Picket Fence Distress Markers, you have to let it dry as it comed out clear to start with, then using Spetrum Noir pens I coloured them in! I think it's a fab technique, really enjoyed trying, I think I will try this again with other flower stamps! Thank you for visiting xx Zoe xx

Zoe - 25th Challenge "Anything Goes"

Good morning Lovelies! And a very warm welcome to new followers of my humble blog!

This fortnights challenge with Rhedd and Rosie's is "Anything Goes" and as we are an "Anything Goes" challenge well that opens up a whole range of permutations! Sammy will be choosing the winner this fortnight!

The winner gets £10 voucher to be spent across 3 designers: Stitchy Stamps, Delicious Doodles and Floppy Latte, the link for the outlet (SBDO)

So here is my tag! We were given A Digi to work with and I choose "The 3 Butterflies" by Floppy Latte

Now if your a regular visitor to my blog, you will know, I do Digi's so this really was a challenge for me, I coloured it in with Coloursoft pencils and fancy cut it out, my tag I stamped with a crackle stamp and inked over, added some texture using sequin waste, I stamped using the fabulous "Water Droplets" from Designs by Ryn, the butterfly bodies and flower stamens I added liquid pearls, I used a white gel pen to highlight the droplets! I don't think I did the Digi justice to be honest, but I do struggle with them!

I'd love to hear what you think? Thanks for visiting, I hope you join in, have a great day xx Zoe xx

All my cards are completely made from scratch, no papers have been used, just inks, distress paints, stamps, dies and distress glitter! All by Tim Holtz of course! I hope you like them.

Zoe - Week #4 "Celebrations" using metallics

Good Morning Lovelies! Wow that was some storm last night! I don't know if you all had it? the thunder and lightening was pretty bad with hail stones, wind and very heavy rain! Phew was awful!

So today is Premium Craft Brands 4th week and our theme is "Celebrations" nice and easy, we are a "Anything goes" challenge so no restrictions on what you make! We the DT were asked to use Metallic Pan Pastels for our sample but you don't have to, we realise not everyone has PCB products.

So here's my card.

I used a Kraft card base and Kraft card for my design, the background I coloured with black PP, sealed with cheap hairspray, then using a PCB stencil I inked through with Versamark and blended various metallic pans over it, my embellishments are all dies which I've coloured with pans too. I hope you like my card? I made it for my husbands nephew, his birthday was last week.

Have a great Sunday xx Zoe xx

Inspired by Tim Holtz

Good Morning Lovelies! I hope your all well and keeping nice and warm! The evenings are starting to draw out slowly so that's always a good sign! Roll on the Spring!

So today I've had a play with some Tim Holtz stamps and dies along with distress inks, I'm absolutely obsessed with everything TH at the moment! Lol can you tell? Lol

The clock centre is a technique taught on the Creative Chemestry 102 course, I've used it several times now, loving that industrial feel to the Miri card, all the stamps and bits and bobs are TH!

And a Valentine card! I'm entering this card into; http://getinkychallenge.blogspot.ae

Thank you for visiting today, have a great weekend xx Zoe xx

Good morning Lovelies! Phew that's another week gone, my gosh where's it going? Lol I hope you've all had a fab week with some crafting chucked in? I've done a lot of crafting lately while I'm waiting for another little one to look after!

So here's this weeks Premium Craft Brands DT project.

Us DT were given the theme "No Card or Paper" but you can use whatever you like!

So I made a mini canvas, just over 2" x 2" I first coloured it with Black Pan Pastels and sprayed with cheap hairspray, I use the "Owl" mask by PCB with Maemeri light modelling paste, once dry I used the bronze metallic Pan Pastel, added some embellishments and voila! Very simple! I'm afraid I'm not so great at anything other than card or paper but I'm fairly pleased how he turned out.

I hope you feel inspired to join in? We offer a great prize and the DT choose a top 3 too! Please check out the rest of our talented teamies projects. Have a great day and thank you for visiting xx Zoe xx

This is the fabulous prize! Melissa will be choosing the winner this time, so knock her socks off! Lol

So here is my tag, I hope you like it? I must say this is just the challenge I love, lots of colour and textures, it was very simple, I used stencils by Wendy Vecchi to create the flower and leaves, I used a Tim Holtz layering stencil to create so texture in the background, the grasses are Lavinia Stamps and the wonderful butterfly is my favourite one by Wendy Vecchi, which I stamped onto inked card and added a bit more texture using some sequin waste, and a couple of TH chitchat stickers and liquid pearls and voila!

Don't forget to check out the rest of the very talented DT blogs too, have a great day :) Zoe xxx

Butterflies!

Good morning Lovelies! Well after a dull and wet start the weather has perked up and it's brighter and sunny :) oh I love the sunshine, it brightens my day!

So I've had a little play this morning for a group challenge on Facebook, the theme is "Butterflies" it's a "one word challenge" I'm also entering it into http://feelingcraftychallenge.blogspot.co.uk

I started with a white tag and stamped the background from Papillon stamp set by Tim Holtz and Stampers Anon, using metallic distress paint in pewter, dried it and inked over, because the paint is opaque and the distress inks are translucent the metallic shows through, the rest of the products are all from Tim Holtz.

I hope you like my tag, thank you for visiting, hugs Zoe xx

Zoe - Week 2 "Silver lining" use Silver/Grey shades

So here's my make for this week, I hope you like it?

I created my background using Pan Pastels in black, grey and white, I used torn paper to create my hills, I used pale blue in places for the sky and added silver metallic Pan Pastel to give some shimmer, the trees and birds are dies which also have silver PP shaded onto them. I added a few liquid pearls and glitter just to give a touch of sparkle.

Thank you for visiting and leaving a comment, I love reading what you think xx hugs and have a great weekend xx

Tim Holtz 12 tags of 2014 - January

Good evening Lovelies! I hope everyone has managed to stay warm and avoided the damage the awful winds and flooding have caused? My heart goes out to those poor people that have had to evacuate and had damage to their homes, devastating!

Well as the title suggests here is my version of January's 12 tags of 2014! Check out the site for Tim's Tutorial

I must admit, I'm rather chuffed how it turned out, as I didn't have some of the items Tim used for his, I was a bit stumped but think I got round it quite well? Hope you like it? Thank you so much for visiting xx Zoe xx

Oh how I've missed my crafting!

Hi Lovelies! I hope your all starting off 2014 with good health and lots of crafting? As we have been away for 21 days in Canada with our daughter, obviously I didn't do any crafting, I bought a few bits though ;) lol! But I didn't realise how much I missed it until we came back. So I've been busy playing, trying new techniques, catching up with some DT stuff and some fun stuff, here are some of the bits I've made yesterday and today, oh boy have I had fun :D

My first tag, I did a version before Christmas but I didn't have the heatable, mouldable plastic to do the proper one, and now I have! It's a Tim Holtz 12 tags of 2013 technique and products

My second and fifth are also Tim Holtz techniques from the Creative Chemestry 102 course, it's called "Eroded Metallics" fab technique.

Another TH technique, I die cut the cogs and heat embossed them and inked to make them appear rusty!

This card is a technique on watercolour card I got from Craft Stamper mag, by the very talented Donna Downey!

Very simple technique, stamps are Chocolate Baroque.

Corroded Metallic technique with the heatable mouldable plastic with shimmer film and inked flower.

This is my favourite, I used "Goose Bumps" let it dry, inked with various blue inks, the Birch trees and birds are dies which I cut using linen texture card and coloured using Coloursoft pencils, I added some liquid pearls in a beautiful turquoise colour.

Thank you for visiting, I hope you like my creations, sorry there are so many pictures xxx Zoe xxx

Zoe Week 1 "Frosty Finish / Anything goes"

Good morning Lovelies! Well a Happy New Year to all my lovely followers, I hope you all had a lovely Christmas and managed to keep warm and safe during the awful weather. As you all know I was in Canada visiting my darling daughter, we had the most wonderful Christmas ever, so so special. We didn't want to come home.

So here are my DT samples for Premium Craft Brands our theme is "Frosty Finish" but you can do anything you like, you don't even have to use Premium Craft Brand products, and you get a prize if you win.

I created my backgrounds with Pan Pastels, the top card I used some Maemeri light modelling paste through some sequin waste to create some texture, and added it along the bottom too and added micro beads and mica flakes, the deer is cut using grunge paper which I'd stamped first.

The second card once I'd coloured and sprayed with cheap hairspray I stamped snowflakes with clear embossing ink and swiped over with the silver metallic pans, i stamped the skinny trees with a dark green Archival ink, I then covered the whole of it with dries clear glue then covered with clear distress dry glitter, my embellishments are made out of a heatable, mouldable plastic which I'd covered with a frosty clear film, I die cut the deer and Holly then coloured with Archival ink, I heated the Holly leaves to give them some shape, once my glitter was dry I inked the edges with faded jeans distress ink, that's the great thing about distress glitter, you can ink over it.

I hope you like my cards, thank you for visiting, please check out the other very talented DT samples.

Hugs Zoe xxx

Zoe - Challenge # 1 "Add some Glitter"

Happy New Year Lovelies! I hope you've all had a wonderful and healthy Christmas and New Years Eve?

I've scheduled my post as I'm flying home today from Canada, having spent Christmas with my beautiful Daughter and her boyfriend! I don't know about you? But as much as I adore my daughter and loved every minute spending precious time with her, there's nothing like getting home to my own bed.

So New Year new Challenge with Lavinia Stamps, our theme this month is "Add some Glitter" oooooooo who can resist a little sparkle? Something to brighten up January is always welcome in my eyes.

If you don't have a blog, don't worry you can enter by Email now, so what are you waiting for? Can't wait to see some wonderful work, now you have no excuses lol xx

If you not tried Lavinia Stamps shop here you really are missing out, such gorgeous designs, created by the wonderfully talented Tracey Dutton. She is offering a whopping £40 voucher to spend on Lavinia Stamp products to the winner of the challenge, so why not have a go? Just follow the theme, and please include Lavinia Stamps in your project, apart from that you can do what you like xx

So here's my card, I created it using Acrylic paints, a technique I copied from the lovely Sheena Douglass. on centura pearl card, the shimmery side for a change, I brushed on Maemeri clear gloss gel medium working quickly so it doesn't dry I then quickly applied the paint, once dry I then stamped my images using black Archival ink and Green for the Willow foliage at the top, I stamped my tall Zentangle mushrooms onto card and lightly coloured with Coloursoft pencils, added some glitter here and there and adhered using pinflaire glue gel for some dimension, with a fine paintbrush I painted in the leaves and added some colourful dots to the foliage to look like little flowers with acrylic paints, I stamped the fairy onto acetate and added glue and glitter to the wings, once dry I cut just the wings out, again to add some dimension, I added some liquid pearl dots and glittered them for even more sparkle, I really enjoyed making this card, I loved this technique, it doesn't show well in the photos but the centura pearl shimmer shows through the paint technique, it's really subtle but pretty.

I hope you like my card and it inspires you to join in the challenge? Thank you so much for visiting and all the best for 2014 xxxx

I hope you like it? Thank you for visiting today, have a great day xx
